In 2018 we published feature articles, news stories and think-pieces about the people, programs and places which make Victoria tick.
As part of this, we also produced a vast number of videos showing the strength and vibrancy of the Victorian economy.
We journeyed all over the state, covering everything from museums to farms to speeches and launches - and so much else - to record the best stories occurring across the state.
We’ve collected our favourites for you here, so if you only have time to replay a few video highlights from 2018, here are some standouts:
A garden party in honour of some of the country’s most cherished scone-makers, happy ninetieth birthday to the Country Women’s Association (CWA) of Victoria.
We stepped inside Manufutures – an advanced manufacturing and innovation hub at Deakin University in Geelong where they worked out an ingenious way of training firefighters.
Victorian innovation at its finest – we were at the moving launch of a new hearing device in March which, since filming, has gone on to win a raft of design awards.
Retail is a major player in Victoria’s economy, so when we were invited to the grand unveiling of David Jones’ new headquarters in Cremorne, well, there’s no other place…
And for a sample of what we can’t wait to bring you more of in 2019, why not watch our first of a series of longform interviews with Victorian business leaders: Mark Rubbo of Readings.
In complement to this story, why not read the rest of our end of year highlights series?
