What does advanced manufacturing look like? For Flaim Systems it means developing a virtual reality training system for firefighters so they can train for a range of emergency situations without using firefighting chemicals and without the associated dangers. By being part of Manufutures – Geelong’s advanced manufacturing innovation and industrial accelerator – the company can grow even faster.

Manufutures is located at Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds campus and already has nine companies on site.

The Victorian Government invested $3 million towards the $13 million project from the Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund to support Geelong’s strengths in advanced manufacturing and create local jobs.
