FRAME A Biennial of Dance
Location: Venues across Melbourne
When: 1 – 31 March
An all-new festival celebrates all forms of dance featuring performances, talks, panels and workshops. Featuring The Australian Ballet alongside some of Victoria’s most exciting companies including Lucy Guerin Inc and local and international dance leaders.
Melbourne Fashion Festival
When: 3 – 11 March
With 100 events across nine days, the world-class festival celebrates all things fashion and creativity. As well as the runway series showcasing Australian designers, there’s also shopping events and experiences, styling and beauty masterclasses, panel discussion and workshops, live entertainment and tours.
When: 9 – 13 March
Australia’s largest Queer Country Pride festival features live performances, art experiences, glamping, the iconic street parade, dog competition and carnivale.
Port Fairy Folk Festival
Location: Port Fairy

A mix of international acts, local legends and rising stars, the ‘Folkie’ is a mix of art, music, food and fun in the beautiful seaside surrounds of Port Fairy.

Swan Hill Region Food and Wine Festival

Swan Hill’s Pioneer Settlement will come alive with food and wine offerings for your tasting pleasure. With all the best produce from the heart of Australia’s food bowl, entertainment includes live music, a grape stomp, fun for the kids and a produce market.
Lost Trades Fair
When: 11 – 12 March
Be inspired by more than 160 artisan makers sharing their crafts. Watch hands at work using age old techniques to create incredible things. Meet the makers, ask questions, have a go, learn secrets, techniques and knowledge. There’s also live demonstrations and music, a ‘little tradies’ area just for kids and fresh local food on offer.
Start of the 2023 AFL Premiership Season
When: 16 – 19 March
Kicking off the new AFL season with six blockbusters games at the MCG and Marvel Stadium, thousands of footy fans will descend on venues to watch their team begin their 2023 campaign.
